THAT’S WHAT IT IS ABOUT THE NEW YEAR. I’ve been wrecking my head for months since last year drew to a close wanting to explain why I needed the year to end so badly. How simple it turned out to be … I simply needed a revival.

The new year brings with it an opportunity to redefine, reassess, reinvent, change, dream afresh, to be born anew. It is also a chance to rebuild, grow, go back to the drawing board, make conscious, binding decisions.

It is an opportunity to re-form oneself and aim for greater heights. To be purposeful in making the new year percentages better than the past year.

It is a reminder of hope and possibility. READ MORE …

FEAR. Sometimes we do not know how to fully throw our weight behind the things we truly want. We’ve lived long enough to know that people talk, and most times they have no praises to sing even when you are doing well … READ MORE

20121112-163907.jpgCAPTION: When I think about love…

NO MATTER how far my heart wanders it always comes back to the same place, and each time there is no doubting where I’m home.
Above all else, I am a writer, regardless of how the world changes.
Of late I’ve been feeling congested, you know that feeling like too much is going on inside (mind, heart, spirit), and there are just no words. Zilch, nada, zero – but to let it all out a word or two is necessary.
Words are therapeutic, read, written, said or heard, its a therapy of ages long past, a constant unchanging truth.
I have been neglecting my preferred therapy of late, there are many reasons why, some may be excuses, but we all get there some time, the place where it is the very thing we love that we neglect the most and by so doing the hurt of that separation rekindles a flame stronger than we’ve known before.
It is a reality both sick and true – absence makes the heart grow fonder.
Anyway, enough of that, what I meant to say was I’ve struck a new match.
Lets fall in love.

Wow,who would’ve thought 63 days/2 months was enough time to meaningfully impact a life…if only just a tad…wow!
Even though I’ve been robbed, nominated as a finalist for a prestigious award, am no longer single ;), took a slight curve in my career, grown spiritually, matured a hundred years in 63 days and finally started breathing&introspecting-even though I’ve done all that or maybe life has done it not I, my major regret is being unable to load it all on here.
Thank heavens for gadgets though, hopefully while I work on recovering what was stolen from me, my grand mobile phone will help me access this platform again.
This entry is merely a public announcement…I’M BACK :D!!!!!

Everywhere I look; it seems to me that more and more young women have come to believe that they were raised to be someone’s wife.It seems like that’s their peak, the climax of life, a white dress and two simple words ‘I do’ binding them to an eternity with any man that happens to give them the time of day just in the nick of their biological clock going cuckoo in front of them.

Oh great sorrow, every time I see it I pray it isn’t so. READ MORE …

I’m sure you get those times when you look around at your continent and wonder when the promised land will become a reality to its people? It would seem we conquered one form of enslavement just to be consumed by another, at every corner is a reason to look towards heaven and ask simply: “when?”During those times we forget to look within ourselves. We’ve become so accustomed to having things done for us that we’ve forgotten how to work out our own freedom. A few years back I was pondering this very thing and God showed me what he did through Moses for the Isrealites enslaved in Egypt.Check out what I wrote about it on the PoeticMother 2012 page: AFRICA.
