IS THAT ALL THERE IS?

FROM: zazzle.com

Everywhere I look; it seems to me that more and more young women have come to believe that they were raised to be someone’s wife.It seems like that’s their peak, the climax of life, a white dress and two simple words ‘I do’ binding them to an eternity with any man that happens to give them the time of day just in the nick of their biological clock going cuckoo in front of them.

Oh great sorrow, every time I see it I pray it isn’t so. READ MORE …

AFRICA

FROM: technorati.com

I’m sure you get those times when you look around at your continent and wonder when the promised land will become a reality to its people? It would seem we conquered one form of enslavement just to be consumed by another, at every corner is a reason to look towards heaven and ask simply: “when?”During those times we forget to look within ourselves. We’ve become so accustomed to having things done for us that we’ve forgotten how to work out our own freedom. A few years back I was pondering this very thing and God showed me what he did through Moses for the Isrealites enslaved in Egypt.Check out what I wrote about it on the PoeticMother 2012 page: AFRICA.

RECREATE EDEN IN MY ROOM

FROM: lavistachurchofchrist.org

Those of you who have heard the story of creation, have you ever wondered how it was like to be Adam and Eve in that sacred garden before the fall? There must have been something goosebump like, a profound sensation to being in such close proximity to God.A few years ago, I found my self wondering if God could give man in the 21st century a taste of that level of intimacy, and I wrote about it.Check out the piece on the PoeticMother 2012 page: RECREATE EDEN IN MY ROOM

ALL RELATIONSHIPS

FROM: rachellemitchell.com

There are only a few spaces in life where you are allowed the absolute right to be whomever you desire to be, places of complete freedom, where questions aren’t asked out of criticism but out of love. READ MORE…

DEAR LOVER

FROM: forums.nicoclub.com

We … especially us girls, have been indocrinated with belief in a prince charming who will come rescue us like he did Cinderella or Snow White or Sleeping Beauty. So whether conscious or not we spend our lives looking for the perfect man, as we grow older we might change the name from prince charming to ‘the one’.Last year I thought it was time for prince charming to fuel up his horse and come rescue me already … in retrospect I’m glad he didn’t.But I wrote something at the time. Check out my latest piece on the PoeticMother 2012 page: DEAR LOVER.
